Health and Safety Executive to include non-employees for driver risk assessments

The HSE have now laid down the gauntlet about what should be assessed as part of the ongoing risk assessment of drivers which is to include company and grey fleet vehicles.

The areas that they consider hazards are:

·    roadworks, traffic and congestion

·    vehicle condition

·    fatigue and distraction

·    time pressures

·    the weather

·    behaviour of other road users
